Ted Lasso London Filming Locations

Ted Lasso has become my Autumn comfort watch, so I had to make a pilgrimage to Richmond in South West London to see where Ted, Roy, Keeley and the gang create the Richmond FC magic. It was a crisp, autumnal day, so we bundled up, grabbed a cinnamon bun at Gail’s Bakery and journeyed to Richmond upon Thames.

Ted Lasso filming location Richmond London

Fortunately for Ted Lasso fans, Richmond is a gorgeous neighborhood nestled on the Thames with a true village feel. You feel like you’ve left the hustle of London for a country escape. So while you can’t actually go bake cookies with Ted or watch Richmond FC play (they’re not real, soz!), you won’t regret a day spent on the river exploring these picturesque filming locations. Book a roast at the White Swan for post-wandering, and you have a perfect day in store.

Richmond Green

Richmond Green - Ted Lasso filming location in London

First stop, Richmond Green, the famous square you’ll recognize from many Ted Lasso episodes, particularly the pilot where he stumbles upon locals playing football. It’s just six minutes from Richmond Station, and a photogenic green perfect for a wander or picnic on a summer’s day. Who doesn’t love a classic London red phone booth?

The Crown and Anchor

Ted Lasso Filming location The Crown and Anchor

And situated on Richmond Green you’ll find The Prince’s Head, or the Crown and Anchor on the show. Ted Lasso’s local pub is a proper London boozer, and you can pop inside for a pint. While they didn’t film inside the Prince’s Head, the pub served as a model for sets on the show, so you’ll feel like you’ve stepped inside an episode.

Ted’s Lasso’s street

Ted Lasso's Street in London

Just around the corner from the Prince’s Green you’ll find the filming location for Ted Lasso’s street, Paved Court. You’ll recognize Chango’s empanadas on this street – it’s the dead giveaway you’re on the street from the show . It’s one of Richmond’s many charming pedestrian streets, and I highly recommend a browse in the local shops.

Richmond Hill

Richmond Hill is one of London’s most stunning viewpoints and also the site of Ted’s meeting with Keeley that was photographed by the paparazzi. It’s the perfect spot for a picnic either on the way to Richmond Park or before heading to Petersham Nurseries for a browse.

Richmond FC

And if you feel like heading further afield and leaving the pretty confines of Richmond itself, head to Crystal Palace FC, where all if the actual football on Ted Lasso is filmed. It’s a bit of a hike from Richmond, but if you want to see a football game, why not head to Crystal Palace?
